BRIAN CRAM'S BRAIN

Brian Douglas Cram at The Music Gallery, Toronto, in June 1996      Brian studied fine and applied arts at York University, focusing on literature, film, theatre and music. At the University of Toronto he received a degree in Jazz Performance with studies in Classical Theory and Music Technologies.
      Brian has composed and performed music for film maker Rick Palidwor, modern dance company The Collective Unconcious Collective, dancer Barbara Grant,and theatre director Kelly Thornton. With the aid of the Ontario Arts Council, Brian has released a cd of original compositions called The Play Ethic.
      Brian formed Gesundheit in November of 2000, blazing the road of Metal trumpet. The band is a cross between Cheech and Chong and Richard Wagner. Brian Douglas Cram at Verona Opera House, Nov 2000.
      He is a member of the compositional ensemble known as GUH. They have recorded five CDs of original music. Brian can also be heard on the cds of The Reostatics, Slow Loris, God Speed You Black Emperor, Sara Montgomery's Co-operators, and Duotang. Brian also plays trumpet and euphonium with Jason Clarke's Bug Night, Do Make Say Think, Mike Hopkin's Formula, Justin Small's Someone Is Flying, and David Clark's Woodchoppers Association. Brian can often be found busking.
